first Ebike build, controller dead?

so i'm working on my first ebike build. i bought this kit around January and haven't been able to get a battery together until recently. i assembled everything and attempted to power up for the first time today. however. nothing. i got a big spark when i pluged it in. at first i paniced and quickly unplugged it thinking the polarity was reversed. however when i checked it. it was correct. after that one spark. nothing. no lights. no humming. nothing. the only switch i can find is on the throttle. my pack is a 52v 11.5 Ah pack the controller states it accepts anything up to 60v. is this a common problem?

Solved: check all connectors. not all are "keyed" switch was plugged into accessory socket.
