Intro-New to these parts!
Hello! I figured I would stop by and introduce myself =) I have been lurking around here and waiting to try for the past few months. This place seems like a nice supportive group, which is awesome. I am 29 and DH is 38, we have been married for 2 years and together for 8. We "officially start trying" tomorrow when I have my Mirena removed. I have not been off of hormonal birth control in 8.5 years, so I have no idea what will happen. I have had a Mirena since 2013, and was on Depo Provera prior to that. I have happily not had a period since Fall 2007.
I would like to get pregnant as quickly as possible, because unfortunately it would be ideal for me to deliver before July 2017. I am a resident physician, not in OB, and I will be applying for my next level of training, at that time, so it would be preferential to have delivered by then.
I have bought OPKs and have fertility friend downloaded on my phone. I was not even sure how to start charting given the lack of information I have about my cycle, and when to start using OPKs. I am not sure if BBT will work well for me as I frequently flip between day and night work, so my temperatures may be difficult to follow due to such an irregular sleep pattern. I have been on prenatal vitamins, as well as a low dose aspirin, high dose vitamin B and folate for 6 months (I have a genetic condition that motivates those). I also have lost 20lbs to get my BMI solidly into the healthy range in an effort to get me as prepared as possible for pregnancy.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and being on this journey with you! Any words of wisdom about tracking and things would be most appreciated!
