What is the reasoning behind my new sensitivity to road bumps?
I drive a 1993 Honda Civic coupe dx. Recently I replaced my steelies with some used wheels I bought off of craigslist. (pictures of both wheels here for reference http://imgur.com/a/LEkL0) Now recently at high speeds I am starting to feel everything a bit more than I had before on the road. Also I feel a constant vibration in my feet at 60mph plus. The tire size on the steelies are 175/70R14 and the size of the new but used 6 spoke rims are 195/60R14. The used wheels came with tires but they are low on tread and have camber baldness on the rear inner edge tires. The new wheels also feel as if they need to be balanced cause my steering wheel shifts slightly left unlike before. The new wheels have already been inflated to a recommended 32PSI. My old wheels had more tread to them too. Is the new sensitivity to the road the result of the rims not having the same foundation as steelies? Is it the result of needing the new wheels to be balanced, less tire tread (need new tires?), smaller or larger tire size, or a possible injury to the suspension when changing the wheels? Many thanks to anyone who answers my inquires.
