How screwed am I?

I got four platys for my 10 gallon tank today. There are no other fish in the tank (it used to house my betta but he recently passed away). I tried to get all females but accidentally got a couple males. I'm really worried about them breeding. I don't have the space for the babies and I have nothing to do with them if they do happen. I don't have another tank for them, I can't afford another tank, I don't know of anyone or anywhere (e.g. fish stores) that will take them, and I couldn't bring myself to kill them. If babies happen I have no idea what I'll do.

I don't think I can bring the males back to the store at this point and I honestly don't really want to. They have names and I'm pretty attached to them already. I considered giving them to my mother for her tank, but it's not heated and she's already overstocked. I'm pretty much stuck with them.

So, am I screwed? Is it just a matter of time until babies happen? How many should I expect if little Lolly or Rue does give birth? Any ideas of what I can do with them if they do show up? How likely are they to get eaten? I'd be okay with them being eaten because I'm not killing them myself. Is there any way I could entice the adults into eating the babies if that's what it comes to? Any ideas at all?

Thanks for any input you guys can offer. I'm really stressing out about this. I should have just gotten the freaking guppies, they only had males.
