Thunderbolt Dock Disconnecting?

Has anyone else experienced (or have a good way to troubleshoot) thunderbolt 2 docks dropping connections?

I have a MacBook Pro Retina 13" Early 2015, and the OWC Thunderbolt 2 Dock with a TB2 cable from OWC. The Dock has it's own external power adapter.

Intermittently, USUALLY when asleep, I will wake up my MBP and have a time machine drive has disconnected improperly error message, but the drive is also on the desktop (so it is reconnecting itself).

Connected to the dock is: Ethernet, USB time machine drive, a USB kvm (also with a power adapter), and sometimes my iPhone.

I have tried it with only the time machine drive connected and it still happens.

I just now had a situation where I had my phone plugged in (through the dock), and in the span of 2-3 minutes, the time machine drive and my iPhone disconnected and reconnected about 5 times.

I'm not quite sure how to tackle from here, short of emailing OWC support, but I'm not sure the issue is to that point yet. I'd rather not format and reinstall if possible, as I have seen this issue almost since the first week I had the setup.
