References on what aches & pains are and what to do about them

Hey Reddit! I'm looking for non-super-technical reference materials for basic physical therapy, better understanding on how circus training (or any bodyweight fitness specific that includes a lot of pulling exercises) is impacting my body, and ways to find and counter muscular imbalances. I don't have a medical degree and don't plan on getting one but I am willing to put some time into learning more about anatomy and safe training.

Obviously if you injure yourself the smart move is to go to a professional. My thoughts are to learn enough about my body and how circus/aerial training impacts it to be able to pinpoint little aches and pains and do something about it before they become injuries via specific stretches, basic at home PT, or fixing imbalances early on.

Tldr: I do circus. I want to find out what my aches and pains are and fix them before they become injuries.

Thanks!
