Equipping Settlers.

Is there a way to let settlers arm and armor them selves, or do I have to outfit each one individually? If there is no option for this Bethesda should add one. Perhaps a community chest you can put in a our settlement and settlers will go to it and arm and armor themselves the will put back the leases powerful,stuff in ir inventory for the best item available in the chest.
