Residency after time in the workforce

I am currently a P3 (5th year) student in a pharmacy program, and am torn with regard to whether or not I should pursue a residency post-graduation. I was wondering if residency programs accept pharmacists who are not coming straight out of school. Any help or guidance is appreciated.
