Wonky filtering on fields in a form
I have a form for a tblApplicationsManagement which links to a few other tables like so -
SELECT tblApplicationsManagement.id, tblApplicationsManagement.applicationID, tblApplications.applicationName, tblDomainCodes.displayName, tblApplications.recordOwnerId, tblUserGroups.shortName, tblApplicationsManagement.applicationType, tblApplicationsManagement.incidentReportingCategory, tblApplicationsManagement.applicationTotalCostOfOwnership, tblApplicationsManagement.primaryBusinessOwner, tblApplicationsManagement.primaryBusinessFunction, tblApplicationsManagement.lastModifiedDate, tblApplicationsManagement.lastModifiedBy
FROM ((tblApplicationsManagement INNER JOIN tblApplications ON tblApplicationsManagement.applicationID = tblApplications.applicationId) INNER JOIN tblUserGroups ON tblApplications.recordOwnerId = tblUserGroups.groupId) INNER JOIN tblDomainCodes ON tblApplications.assetStatusId = tblDomainCodes.ID;
Now as it stands, filters work fine on all fields so long as there are no other filters.
If I make a filter on either the tblUserGroups.shortName or tblDomainCodes.displayName the ability to filter any other fields is removed (ie. I can't select from the checklist).
If I filter any other field first, I can continue to filter another field including the two mentioned above. In all cases these are simple text boxes and the Control Source is the column name.
edit - so I know at least in part why it's not working. so if I filter by a checkbox value on any other column if I open the filter again it shows what I'm filtering on. In both these fields, if I filter it and then open the filter again it shows blank, even though it is indeed filtering results.
