Non safety sensitive position at airline.
I just had an interview today at a major airline for a storekeeping job. I will work in the warehouse doing various inventory tasks along with driving a forklift occasionally (which I will be trained for) and also driving on the tarmac to occasionally deliver parts to mechanics. I still have not been given the job(will get a phone call within a few days)
I am prescribed Adderall 20 XR once a day for ADHD. Obviously I will have a preemployment drug screen (Non-Dot). I do have a note from my doctor stating I take Adderall daily for ADHD.
Does anyone here work for an airline or know if I'll have trouble with this (in terms of employment)? Doing inventory I would be fine but considering I'll be driving and the fact airlines are so strict I'm quite worried that even with a prescription they might not accept me for the position.
I have not told anyone about my prescription since I have not been asked during the interview process and I failed to ask interviewer whether this would be an issue for them.
It is a non safety sensitive position so I have a feeling it might not be an issue...
Thanks to anyone who responds in advance!
