need new job. current government employee.
Hi Reddit r/jobs! Currently I work full time in a large city for a weird kind of quasi-government housing authority. I HATE MY JOB. Mostly the people but the jobs sucks too...paper pushing, unions, awful mandated hiring practices, low salary, great benefits, lots of vacation/sick/personal time.
I am seeking advice about how I can transition from program coordination to something else, preferably in the private sector. I live in a large city with very well known academic institutions and corporations. I have always had some sort of government job since college doing 'program coordination'. 7 plus years.
I don't know what to do. I'll take advice/criticism! Anything!
thanks in advance!
