How can I plate zinc (or any other corrosion protector) onto steel?
I have a steel bolt that I had to remove the zinc coating from because I had to grind it to a different shape. Now I want to have the corrosion protection back. How should I set that up? Can I just do electroplating, with one electrode as my bolt and the other being a strip of copper, using vinegar as my electrolyte? (I think electrolyte is correct in this context. I mean "The liquid you pump the electricity through that the metals plate across". Will copper stop it from rusting? Thanks guys!
