Welp...FMIL won (kinda)

BitchBot will fill in the background info about FMIL cuz there's too much.

FBIL's GF is probably the best girl he's brought home since I've known him (so 5+ years). They were gonna drive up to to spend the weekend with BF and I tomorrow for the first time. Yesterday she sent me a confirmation text stating that they were excited to come visit. Today FMIL texts my BF and says that FBIL and GF broke up and that we need to come "home" tomorrow because his brother needs him...

FBIL and GF broke up BECAUSE of FMIL. FMIL had been starting shit with GF for the last month and kicked them out of her house on Easter night (we were there for some of the shitshow and then promptly bounced cuz duh). She also financially cut FBIL off and stole his tax return. FBIL and GF were an united front at first but, like usual, he started to have moments of weakness where he would tell GF to "get over it" or "give in because its easier that way". GF and FBIL have been dating a year [anniversary was a couple days ago so this must realllly suck for them :( ] and I guess there wasn't enough good history for them to overcome the barrage of manipulative, narcissistic craziness that is FMIL and so GF called it quits and dumped FBIL.

Talked to her and found out that she confided in both me and SIL (whose been around/dealt with the toxic bullshit for 10 years) and SIL went and told FMIL all of it (THE FUCK?!) and FMIL used this info and twisted it in an effort to reach out to FBIL who then questioned his GF and the rest was history.

So FMIL wins. Again. I'm gonna miss GF. Silver lining? BF recognizes the crazy that is FMIL and the toxicity that is apparently FSIL (I didn't think she was that bad but I was wrong) and hugged me tight when he heard all of this. Also, I got into grad school and decided on a school 6+ hours away from where we are. BF wants to start his medical career wherever I end up so we get to be far away soon... although I am terrified of whats going to happen when she finds out. Oh and he has to spend a month living with her this summer since our lease ends when I graduate (a month earlier than he does) so that's also terrifying :x
