Vegas 5 Cask Strength Torpedo Review

So relaxing and pre-relaxing for Friday and thought I would do a mini review. Had a vegas 5 while I was waiting for pizza to be delivered.

The construction was pretty great on this, it did have one fairly hefty vein going down most the length. But it held up well the entire time and didn't end with a runner. Also noticed when I put it in my mouth to light it had a strong taste of cocoa.

First third was a bit grassy to start but after a few minutes got leather, cocoa and a bit of pepper started to come through.

Mid section of the cigar the grass flavor was gone completely. Still strong notes of leather and cocoa with some toasty cedar coming through. All in all a bit more mild than I expected but delicious none the less. It burned evenly the entire time and I had no issues.

Last third was similar to the previous third. Same general flavors and they were sticking strong. I was feeling the nicotine a bit much however at the end. I haven't smoked most the winter because I refuse to have every extremity go numb so I think I need to pace myself a bit more. Had to call it quits a bit earlier than I wanted. But always better to stop before you get too much of a nicotine buzz.

All in all this was an enjoyable stick and I recommend it. I think this would go great with something like a stout.
