Need help for a new gaming headset

So im in the market for buying a new gaming headset, I have a budget of about £180 ($250), I want a headset that is good for surround sound as I play a lot of shooters, I also need one that has good sound cancelling as well :) I do not want a headset that is "good for its price" and is cheapy, but I also do not want a rip off headset that is priced based on the brand. I also am very very interested in possibly getting a wireless headset, but not sure if this is going to affect quality of sound for gaming. Got any recommendations? Thx guys
