Abused glycine receptors with supplemental aminos?
I don't always eat much meat, where I've read that Taurine can be a beneficial amino acid (there's an interesting article on how this might partially explain Japanese longevity.) While supplementing creatine, I've now started supplementing beta-alanine throughout the day which can further lower taurine (which might lead to cardiovascular issues without supplemental taurine?) I believe both of these hit the Glycine receptors.
Now... I also have found glycine to help me sleep, and I've read that this can help balance out higher intakes of fructose / protein. So, I've been supplementing glycine at night.
I've also found l-theanine useful with my morning coffee... I believe this has glycine receptor activity?
Am I going to mess something up (downregulation of receptors?) supplementing theanine with my morning coffee, beta-alanine with my pre-workout / breakfast, taurine with dinner, and glycine before bed?
