Character Discussion: Gonzales FE6

The big ugly Brigand yes. I have played FE6 an innumerable amount of times, and one of the units I have never really used outside of a couple chapters where his status was basically "sacrificial lamb" if necessary.

In a game with rather limited Hero Crests and 0 Master Seals you have to be more choosy with your promotional items. My hero crest depth chart as follows:

1. Fir

2. Rutger

3. Dieck

So sadly the big softy always seems to be left out. I generally even prefer the more balanced yet still extrememly unimpressive Geese over him in case Dieck and Armorslayer both die painful unfortunate deaths.

Should I stick with the handsome guy next time? I mean that speed growth is retarded, and the crit bonus is always so enticing upon promotion. Any Gonzales stories? Strategies? Niches you wish to share? Or is he perma-benched like all of my past Gonzos?
