Box of pennies...

Turns out they were all 2016, not circulated coins. It was TD bank, but the teller who usually helps me out had someone else grab them, and apparently he didn't realize I wanted to CRH. My fault for not specifying.

But I was wondering what the protocol is for getting boxes of circulated coins to dig through. Do you just ask the tellers to check the box first before handing it over? Are there better banks to try? I went to a small local bank and they wouldn't help me if I didn't have an account. I was so excited to dig through it tonight and was brutally rebuffed.
