I'm sorry that I have to be the dumbass who asks the question, but I need some help.

Some background, a couple years ago, I was diagnosed with a minor form of depression, and when I got my ears pierced (and every stretch since), I found that body mods were one of the several things that helped me feel good, (self-esteem problems probably, can't fuck my face up worse, eh?). Anyways, I have since been on mood regulators, and am feeling much better, however, I am still a minor, and living with my parent, this is a problem because a few weeks ago I discovered (along with my sexuality) that I desperately want a septum piercing. My parent, understandably, does not want me to get it. I speak no hyperbole when I say that there is very little I'm NOT willing to do to get it.

So in my desperation, I come to you all, is there any way that I could try and convince her the lack of repurcussions that come of a septum piercing? Should I just cut my loss here and wait? (That one being my last resort.)

And sorry about the scattered commas and poor sentence structure, I'm American, so my schooling focuses more on why I'm awesome and how all other countries are inferior. (/s)
