Activating Group
So I know alcohols are activating groups on benzene rings due to the lone pairs on oxygen so the they donate to the Benzene. But why about protonated alcohols, there is still a lone pair on the oxygen but there is also a plus charge. Can someone help understand how the resonance would work? Thank you!!!!!
