What are some good ways to name fictional Human Races without being Kind of A Dick?

So i'm writing a story and there are five human ethnicities that are based off of European, Asian, African, Middle Eastern, and Native American mythology respectively. My question is, how do i name them without being kind of a dick? Like the ethnic group based off of European mythology is called "The Gales" which is derived from the word Gaelic obviously. Every time I look up names for different ethnic groups in our world for non white people though it tends to get weirdly racist pretty fast. I need some help making good, recognizable names for my people that aren't offensive or upholding stereotypes.
