Help removing broken glass in a Titanium nail

There's a ring of glass stuck inside my nail when it broke off the rig. So far, I've let it boil in water, got it up to 200 degrees F and the metal still didnt expand enough for the glass loosen. It seems to have gotten softer around that edge and ive chipped at it, but the glass is still strong enough that it wont just shatter when i do that.

I dont have pliers and using my blow torch for this is a no go in my apartment, especially if the glass decides to become shrapnel from the extreme heat.

Would putting it in the freezer, then boiling it work better?
