Best Uchigatana Upgrade Path?

Hey guys! Super new to Dark Souls 3. After playing around with all the weapons, i decided i really, really like the Uchigatana! It's super fast, does good damage, and i look like a friggin SAMURAI!! Can't beat that haha.

I finally found the weapon i want to use but have NO idea what a good end game build path for it is. Any suggestions, and why? i don't have a very good understanding of infusing tjings, kinda confuses me.

Also, if anyone could suggest a good early game light armor set, (or any armor set that compliments the uchigtana) i'd be thankful! i'm currently getting my butt kicked in chainmail with no good armor in sight :(
