Captain America: Civil War Review (by me, no spoilers)
Holy SHIT
The movie was amazing. I'll just list off some things about it that I loved, it's a lot less spoilery than doing some weird analysis or something.
-
It was a very fast paced film. Nothing felt unnecessary and everything contributed to the story. Also, the story is about HUMANS. It's about people and their relationships with each other. It's so amazing. I cried THREE times within probably.... The first thirty minutes or so. It was truly incredible. I couldn't believe how every single thing was on point.
-
Every scene was very self aware and had its own tone. The Russo's are masters of tone, it's incredible
-
The fighting is SO DAMN GOOD
-
The airport scene is everyone vs everyone, not everyone fights their counterparts the entire time and I got to see my most wanted versus match and it was GLORIOUS
-
Everyone was a stand out character in my opinion. They were all beautifully acted and brought something new to their characters.
-
The movie wasn't trying to be some ambitious epic. It was a very personal story. It didn't feel contrived or blown out of proportion. Every character acted how you would expect them to.
Also, the post credits scene......... will not disappoint. They only showed one, but I think that they'll do another one with the actual theatrical release (there was one specific plot point that was left unfinished)
That's all I can think of right now, but if I think of anything else substantial I'll add it! Hope this gets you guys hyped for the movie! It's incredible!
