Farming (Not Grinding) Q&A

Hey guys, there seems to be quite a lot of info as well as different tips going into this so I wanted to make a place for this to happen including some stuff i'm curious about

If i don't take care of crops in terms of like bugs, pruning, no fertilizer or water does it effect crop yield or just speed?

What is the best process for farming in terms of good yield but getting seeds? like harvest 1 breed 1 etc or what?
