Job Hunting is so draining.
I'm a recent college graduate and the various things in my life have finally eased up enough where I can start applying to jobs and ohmygosh is it discouraging. I know that a lot of the job requirements are embellished/not needed but it still bums me out when all the jobs I want to do require all this experience or are worded in a way that makes me think I won't get the job anyways. I'm still applying for these jobs but not knowing if they'll even look at my application or if it'll just be excluded by some computer takes some of the wind out of my sails.
All of this combined with the fact that I have to find some professional job by June (in order to be able to get an apartment with friends in the city) is really stressing me out.
I have people I can network with but I'm shy and it just feels so strange to contact these people for these purposes. I'm also terrified that I won't be up to snuff and that it'll look bad for the people who recommended me.
I really just don't have anyone talk to about this. I live at home with my parents at the moment with not many friends in the area. Whenever I try and talk to my parents like this they just give me advice, which I don't want at all. I just need to vent.
So yeah i'm seriously considering just getting a job at supermarket or something not related to what I majored in so I can move out. Plus if i'm in the city I can use the public transport and start going to a therapist.
