Favorite mythology and why?

I'm into a lot of mythologies for many reasons; I tend to favor Heracles and his 12 labors. I think I favor them because, of my mythology studies project topics, his trials stood out to me, as well as the many interpretations of his trials, so I studied it the most. However, I was so excited for the Rock's movie of Hercules and was really let down that it didn't follow more to the actual mythological stories. So... I wonder what stories everyone really loves to read over and over again. Also, if there's a Hollywood interpretarion of your favorite mythology that is close to the version you favor! I'd love to get favorite stories to study further!
