Can't get Sublime Text 3 to do anything. I just want to run code in a separate column such as in Codecademy.

I'm trying to learn some Python alongside Java, but I've been having the most annoying time getting Sublime 3 set up to simply run the code in another column, or to run it in a separate window such as HTML-Kit.

I've got REPL installed.

Followed the instructions on the top post of this thread.

I followed this guide to the letter, changing file paths as needed

Ctrl+shift+f opens up the find and replace window, and no code will run on the second column even if I go to tools > SublimeREPL > Eval/Transfer.

I've made sure to save my "hello world" file as .py before trying to run it. Nothing works. Nothing happens. The only thing that does work is using CTRL+B for the code to appear in the tiny window at the bottom of the screen.

Like I said, I just want something to run the code, let me simulate inputs and whatnot, and let me see what I did wrong. Nothing seems to be working.
