Weather the storm

Let me be the voice for the voiceless,
provide choice for the choice-less.
I wish I could give sight to the blind,
moving forward, no one is left behind.

I want to give hope to the despairing,
inspire the rich to start sharing.
I'd like to provide for the dispossessed,
relieve the pressure for the oppressed.

I wish to break the chain of violence, the use of force,
identify the problems and track them to the source.
I want to drag our inner demons into the light,
dispel their choke hold over whats right.

However I can't weather the storm alone,
so gather your courage for we can no longer postpone.
First they will laugh, then they will ignore us,
until finally our actions are all they discuss.

Eventually they will fight out of desperation,
a last struggle for control over every nation.
But once the idea of equality has taken hold within,
we, The People, the 99%, are guaranteed to win.
