This Boss just killed me countless times... grrr....

I tried that too, but it didn't work for me. I'm always getting caught by her fire explosion and her sweeping sword movement when on dual blade mode.

Might have something to do with using the Irithyll straight sword against a boreal knight....
Magic and bleed are her weaknesses.

Dancer of the Boreal Valley is for use one of the hardest bosses in the game. Aldrich gave me more bad time though...

Just finished the Deacons of the Deep boss fight, then I found this boss fight after I killed the queen in Boreal Valley. Never fought Aldrich tho. Sigh, I guess I need to level up more. LOL

You can trigger this bossfight sooner if you kill that woman in the church where you fight the Dancer, otherwise this boss is available after you kill 3 Lords of Cinder, which is after you kill Aldrich. I recommend you just skip this boss for now.

People keep saying she's really hard, but I managed to kill her on my first try with limited estus from the previous boss fight. I'm sure that was just me being rather lucky, but she didn't seem especially difficult.

what kind of build were you running? STR builds are hard to use on the dancer, or at least it was for me

was using a raw astora ss and a knight's shield with a bunch of points in faith that weren't doing much for me in that fight (or most fights really).

I love how the knight shield is default on the knight class and has 100% physical resist. Almost too good to not use early

I didn't level str at all so I'm not using anything better like the crest shields. At the end of the day it's good enough to last you through the whole game, though.

I focus my build on VIT, STR and END. Never add point to INT, that might be the reason why. Should I focus on Magic next time?

Yup!!! And when I managed to take half of its life, it goes dual mode on me! :(
