Using

I reached for my pack
    of reds
but then I remembered I quit
    awhile
        ago,

so I exhaled quick,
    shook my head
and that was that.

A little later I poured
    a drink
but then I remembered I sobered up
    a couple months
        ago,

so I exhaled quick,
    poured it out,
and that was that.

Later that night I dialed
    your number
but then I remembered you quit
    2 weeks
        ago,

so I lit a smoke
    I poured a drink
and that was that.
