The Rooftop

Go to the roof.
Step up from the lowly lone.
Go up there and
Be star borne.

Set your gaze
at the starry wonder,
Life is but a maze,
do you ever wonder?

Look how far they dwell,
but have they felt this close before?
have you thought of it as well?
As tonight, the stars, we adore.

Tell them what you think.
Tell them all you have been wondering,
Tell them how your heart sinks,
Due the dawning daunt of night,
and, they won't complain back,
instead, they ll pass you a wink,
will take your eyes and shine bright.

And then now,
they ll form a singular light,
your tongue will sigh a "wow!",
and your tummy will delight,
your mind will ask, ''how?"
But keep calm, it's all right,
the distant rumbling voices will hush,
and a sooth calmness will invite,
But hey, you know where the light came from,
right?
