Hide-and-Seek

When playing Hide-and-Seek  
You never imagine  
You'll discover much more  
Than your childhood friend.  

But perhaps,  
When curled up in a ball  
Behind your aunt's dresser,  
While holding your breath  
And waiting patiently,  

You are found.  

Whether it is from your best friend,  
Or from yourself,   
Hiding isn't forever.
