Do you guys think Nolvadex can reverse gyno?

I recently lost a lot of weight (250 lbs before) and I always had a pretty big chest. Now I'm 180 lbs 10% bf and I definitely think I have gyno due to the central masses near my nipples and the pointiness of my areola. I expected that, after losing all that weight, I'd be living a better life and feel much better and more confident about my body, but I feel even more depressed every time I see my nipples. I'm 18 now and I assume that I got my gyno sometime during childhood and it just never went away. I don't know exactly how long I've had it but I've heard rumors that taking Nolvadex or... Nolvadex combined with anastrozole for an extended period can reduce the size of gyno dramatically (even long term gyno), possibly to the point where it's barely noticeable. I was wondering if any of you guys has any experience with these type of drugs or any information about their effects and potency.

Cheers.

EDIT: Just in case anyone advises to just go to surgery...

a. I'm a broke college kid with broke parents...

b. I'd rather try other options before going under the knife due being very busy working to go through surgery and post-surgery.

If anyone knows any other decent treatments besides surgery that may work, let me know in the comments :)

EDIT 2: If I were to hop on a steroid cycle to tenderize my gyno and "rehash" it if you will, would I then be able to take something like letro or nolva to then further reduce my gyno since it is most likely 2+ years old.

No it can't. Maybe letro if u catch it early enough but it's some pretty harsh stuff

Well I know it obviously cant get rid of it, but there has been studies shown that nova can significantly reduce the actual size of the gyno. I heard something like 50% reduction in 2 weeks with 40 mg a day. I would be happy with any reduction at all. I know letro wouldn't really work for long term gyno, but a study done with nolva (tamoxifen) showned a significant decrease in size for cases of gyno with 6+ months of having gyno. And if I combine 40 mg nolva with 1mg anastrozole a day, I think it might possibly reduce some size.

First, there is still a (slight) chance that your gyno will go away on it, but don't count on it.

Do NOT start a cycle, in no way will it help your gyno. It will probably make it worse and you will risk damaging your endocrine system.

As for using Nolvadex(tamoxifen), I would suggest taking to a doctor and doing it legitimately but yes from what I have read (and experienced) tamoxifen and raloxifen would be your best shot at reducing actual breast tissue without surgery. However I won't expect it to go away completely, but maybe a 30-50% reduction.

I don't recommend anastrozole for your situation. Yes, you will completely crash your estrogen and reduce your gyno, but it WILL return after you stop taking it. Since you're a natural guy, you will also experience many negative side effects including hair loss, loss of libido, and achy joints due to crashed estrogen levels. I've experienced it will letrozole and trust me it's not worth it. I wrote a post about what drugs can reduce gynecomastia and my experiences with if you are interested in reading here

Here's my advice, based on experience.

Calm down, realize people don't give a fuck about you and your nipples (especially girls). They are too busy worrying about themselves.

Get in the best shape you can (naturally) and lowest body fat.

Look into compression undershirts if it bothers you that your nipples are showing through shirts.

If you continue to obsess and worry about it,

Start hustling for surgery money. Start a small business, sell things on ebay, get a part time job. You'll be surprised how quickly you can save a few grand when driven by insecurity.

Good luck man.

You'll be alright.

One day after you've had surgery or just gotten "over it", you'll realize how insignificant this is.

This is great advice. The only issue for me is that I live in a very expensive state. The quotes I've gotten for surgery is $7,000-11,000, so it's much more than a few thousand for me. I know there's the out of state options, but I'd probably have to travel far enough to take a plane. With travel, hotel, and multiple visits to the office (consultation, pre-surgical), I probably wouldn't be saving much and I also have obligations which would make it difficult to travel.

Thanks my man, I appreciate it. I'm going to try nolva for 2 months and most likely post before and after photos as well as the results I conclude. If that doesn't work, I'll be working over the summer and try to save up some money and possibly finance the surgery if all else fails.

Hey mate, I'm on nolvo too, 10mg daily.

I'm seeing a major mood dip as well as hairloss, are you seeing any side effects?

I've posted a similar question on this sub if you want to take a look.

I'm about a week in right now. 20mg a day. My chest looks a bit smaller, but not any major side effects. The 2nd day I felt like complete shit tho. Really depressed and out of it. But I feel fine now. Will keep updated.
