Queen's Vanguard progression raid team.
Vanguard Raiding Rules
Attendance: This is going to be the biggest priority as far as requirements go. You must be able to attend all raids. Aside from being in the hospital, or morgue, you'd best be on, and on time. Failure to give proper notice (min 48 hrs heads up), will put your position up for negotiation. I understand this is not a “Job,” but by joining, you are technically entering into a contract with 7 other people. The agreement is to be mindful of each other's time, and out of respect you will not flake out. 2 nights a week logging in for 2 hrs and 15 minutes isn't asking too much, it's still a fairly casual raiding schedule.
Preparation: Guides, outlines and any other aids must be reviewed before the actual raid. I will likely post most of the information we will be using on our reddit page. This will do two things. It will make sure we are all brushing up using the same information, and second it will make it that much easier for you to do the homework. You may present your own opinions on strats, but be aware of how to do the one we have chosen ahead of time.
Performance: Please be able to take feedback constructively. Also if you feel as though you notice someone else having an issue, bring your concerns to me, or Earl. We will determine how to handle it. We will be reviewing video of our raids to see how to best help everyone. If you have a problem with someone trying to help the raid team by helping you, this is not the team for you. Everyone is expected to improve weekly. As gear and experience increase, so should performance.
Streaming: Please don't stream. We will ask you if we feel the need to be streaming.
Communication: Please be willing to give your email to Earl, and myself at the very least. Best case is we should all be able to contact one another outside of the game. This will allow everyone to report any scheduling conflicts immediately. (If you feel comfortable, you may also give your cell number to me. It will only be used for raiding purposes. I promise no drunk texts, as I would expect the same from you.)
Voice Chat (TeamSpeak3): This is 100% required. You are not required to speak, but it may simplify certain things. It's mandatory though that you're able to listen in on raid calls, and directions. Please no chatter during pulls.
Behavior: This is a team. The team must be able to get along. Stand-offish behavior, and the inability to assimilate within the group will not be helpful, nor will it be accepted. The goal we're trying to achieve is to find a group of people who can play through some tough content, while building friendships, not the opposite. I am very sure tensions will be high at some point. Maintaining civility within the team will be the point at which we prove if we are meant to succeed or fail. Please be emotionally capable of apologies and forgiveness. Age 18+, and you must have at least an NC-17 sense of humor, and tolerance of vocabulary. That is not permission to drop F-bombs freely, but shite happens.
Guidelines for Raiding with the Queen's Vanguard
Loot: Loot will be handled depending on our current content. Master loot may be implemented at times to ensure we are capable of meeting any requirements (i.e., player item levels, DPS checks on fights, healing checks, mitigation issues). This will be announced ahead of time, and will be used only as a way to better the raid. Specialty items will be open to need off. In the case of one dropping during master loot, a /random will be held and highest roll wins.
Consumables: Food buffs will most likely be required for progression content, and each member will be responsible for supplying their own for now. Maybe later we can requisition our FC for aid in supplying them.
Stone, Sky, Sea: Kind of a no brainer, but you should be able to complete the test successfully for whichever tier of content we are working on.
Content: Progression content is the purpose of this raid. We define our team as medium-core level. Our intent is to put forth our best effort to clear the content before the next tier drops. Given the time frames on content, this will be well within our grasp. I also understand this team will be forming midway through a content tier. Taking this into consideration, if we have not cleared the current Savage content, we will likely abandon it for the new content with sights set on a fresh start. Past content “clears” may be used as filler to finish out a night.
Raid Time: The tentative raid time will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 8-10 PM Eastern. This means you will be expected to be on around 7:45, as we will be starting exactly at 8. Usually at the midway point there will a short break (less than 10 min) to repair gear, go bio, get a drink, etc. Goal start date will be May 17, 2016.
Generally speaking the vision I have for our team is to forge a tight knit group capable of having a good time while clearing content in a fairly efficient manner. I fully expect to encounter roadblocks that we will need to push through, maybe even stumble over, but eventually we should achieve our goals. Our members are expected to be trailblazers into endgame raiding for our FC. The group will be selected, by invitation, and groomed to fill the required roles. Members within the team may even be asked to fulfill more than one specific role. I understand this may all sound intimidating. Honestly, in a way it is kind of meant to. By joining the team you are agreeing to put forth the effort and time required to excel at your job.
