Respect the Vulture(Adrian Toomes): Marvel 616
Adrian Toomes was a bright inventor and engineer, but not much of a business man. So he partnered with a friend of his, Gregory Bestman, in order to create a company in which Bestman handled the finances and Toomes made the inventions. But Bestman became greedy, and began to steal Toomes's share of the company. Eventually, he forced Adrian out. Outraged, Adrian realized that for too long he had been the one being looked down and scavenged at due to his passiveness. With this passion of revenge, he built a special flying harness based on both electromagnetism and bits of anti-gravity tech and swooped out to take revenge on Bestman. After this, he began to rob due to feeling the need to be the one scavenging now as well as a desire to gain enough money for many things(motivations have varied from treating his sick family to wanting to simply retire). This led to many run-ins with Spiderman, and Vulture developing great annoyance with the wallcrawler.
Vulture is not a purely evil man, and has many pieces of morality in him. He cares deeply for his family and has been known to back down for his friends. Ultimately, Vulture wants two things in life now: defeating Spiderman and gaining a nest egg for himself. He places higher priority on the latter.
Strength
Despite his frail appearance, Vulture has enormous strength imbued to him by his flying harness. It has been somewhat inconsistent between writers as to whether he keeps it without his harness or not, but nevertheless, it is a potent weapon for him.
-
He casually crushes a thug's wrist and hand without missing a blink
-
He kicks a hole in a wall and Spider-Man says his strength is almost in his league
-
Lifts Daredevil and a heavy stone cross before smashing him into another headstone
-
Punches Daredevil through a door and Daredevil has more words about his strength
-
He punches through a wall and then flings Spider-Man with quite a bit of force
-
He cuts a gun to ribbons with his claws. The claws are a new addition
Speed and Flying Ability
Vulture's flying harness lets him fly via anti-gravity, and he has great mobility while flying. Beyond that too, his natural reflexes have been honed greatly.
-
He mentions ducking shots from AIM agents off panel and then dodges a few shots on panel
-
He's fast enough to escape Spider-Man's choke hold before he can get a good grip
-
Flies up to plane level, leaves an explosive, and then flies off in a split second
-
Dodges poison darts and then proves he's more agile than the Vulturions(crappy knockoffs)
Durability
Vulture's typical suit has at least some kevlar in it and his harness gives him enhanced durability all over his entire body
-
He's slammed into a pillar hard enough to crack it and is fine
-
After flying face first into a headstone, he's only kind of dazed
-
He's smashed into the ground hard enough to crack it and is not down
-
He tanks all out blows from Blackie Drago. Blackie Drago can kick through brick chimneys easily
-
He tanks an all out kick from Spider-Man because in the air, he can cushion the blow
-
He tanks a metal pipe to the back of the head and being punched through several pieces of machinery
-
His suit has lots of back up systems in case his main power generator goes down
Gravity Manipulation
These days, Vulture can manipulate his anti-gravity tech far more freely and offensively. More specifically, to enhance his strength
