Sonnet for Olive
She speaks so soft it lulls me from the start
With words so crisp and wonderful, I cry
A voice so tender is not short of art
Has beseeched my heart for a warm reply
Her eyes, they are blue pools of stagnant time
In which I find myself gazing into
In hope that one day I will find the rhyme
To make her shed a tear of love so true
Her brown locks, so enchanting and divine
Flow freely in the warm gentle spring breeze
Carelessly weaving together; a sign
Of how our bodies have become at ease
And as our love was kindled in August
Olive, will always be my one goddess
Second sonnet that I've written. I'm trying to get better with my use of iambic pentameter and would love any advice :) please enjoy and please give suggestions. (especially for line 1, I could not get it the way I wanted)
