Love without light
In bastard March
Soggy though it was
It did nothing to dampen your inner light
Miles from home
I had pined softly
For your steady stream of consciousness
Into the dark
I admitted then alone
That I loved you for your entirety
You,
entirely light
Glowed until April showers
Your former lover
As fight had left her
Attempted her death, in your sweet name
You were soaked
Your name dripping guilt
Although she did not see you as you were
I had shone
For you, quietly, gently
Because someone needed to be your light
I sheltered you
Wrapped in soft arms
I told you your truth, to ease your guilt
You told me
That I was a Godsend
I knew your friendship could shelter our city from rain
So now, quietly
Only into the dark
I confess my love…
Where it can’t grow without warmth and light.

I am a complete novice, so I felt a little hinky giving people advice. I hope it wasn't too bad as this is my first time posting here :)
