List of tickets/tours/... to buy months, weeks or days in advance. Am I missing something?
Hey! I'll be there in July and I would hate to miss something because I did not think of buying it in advance. So far I have an eye on the following:
- TV shows
Unfortunately they are given out 1-2 months in advance (last week tonight even only 2.5 weeks in advance) and they always overbook them which is a bit annyoing for someonly who is only for a week in town because I have no guarantee to be let in.
- Broadway
I want to go to Book of Mormon and it seems like that it is not really booked out weeks in advance. I wanted to wait till I see if I snatch a tv show ticket reservation, so that I know on which day I'm free. Is this a good plan or will the tickets be sold out for July in the beginning of June?
- Sports
I bought a ticket for a Yankees game. I'm thinking about going to basketball or football as well, but not yet sure, as I don't really follow those sports.
- Museums/Outlooks/Tours
I probably want to go to Top of the Rock and do a boat tour, but booking those should be fine days in advance when I'm knowing more precise what I will do when. The City of Water day sounds also nice, but for me the link for the boats tours is not working at the moment?
- Music
Billy Joel and Justin Bieber are in town. Don't really hear them a lot, so I'll probably pass.
- Politics
I would love to see an political event from the presidential elections - doesn't matter whether democratic or republican (I'm from Germany and only following the us politics "from the sideline"). But at the moment it looks like that at my time frame close to the conventions there will be no events. :-(
- Day trips / train tickets
Doesn't really look like booking in advance gives me a monetary advantage.
So, am I missing something??
