Sony Movie Studio 13 - How do I fade audio but not have it fade to zero volume at the end of the clip?

I am combining three clips and want to reduce audio in the middle clip to be able to hear audio from the video clip it self.

I am trying to fade the background song temporarily and then pick it back up. Unfortunately, I can only fade to zero and then pick it back up quietly, and then fade back in to full volume after the middle clip is finished.

Is there a successful way to do this?
