Moga Pro Power - Can it use the passthrough charging feature?
I have to say, I am really loving the Moga Pro Power. It has turned out to be much better than I had expected to be. The reviews weren't lying when they said it's as good as a console controller.
However, I have an issue with the passthrough charging feature. This could be due to a variety of reasons, like receiving a lemon or because I'm not using the proper cable.
I'm using a Note 5 with an unofficial charger. When I plugged in the cable, it was as if nothing happened. The battery drained just as fast as it was without the charger, and there wasn't the charging indicator.
I'm considering picking up an official Samsung charger, but before I spend $20 on a cable that doesn't work as intended, I wanted to know - Has anyone else been able to use Moga Pro Power to charge their device via the pass through charger? What phone and what cable are you using? (Is the official?)
EDIT: Tested by u/itsnotatoomer
Ok so verdict is in, long story short, it doesn't show up as being charged and eats through the battery like normal.
I tried both a Samsung cable and the cable that came with the controller and it did not make a difference.
I connected just the phone to the controller at the end to make sure it charged and it did so no issue with the phone or the Moga.
Closing words, it would have been sweet if it worked.
