Will the success or failure of the new Star Trek determine the fate of space opera on TV?

As you know until we got The Expanse there was an abscence of space based Sci fi on TV. Do you think the success or failure of the new Star Trek show will determine if prestige networks such as HBO or Netflix take a look at making a space show or will success of The Expanse be a bigger factor in whether or not the other networks take a risk on making a space show?
