Looking to outfit my '90 Ranger, and I think i have an idea, but need critiques
You may remember me from a few days ago, looking into audio for my 1990 Ford Ranger. I have done some research, but I still have a few questions. I'll list the parts I have found, and can you guys give advice?
- It has pretty much all the features, and is from a good brand.
- someone told me i needed one for stereo compatibility. looks as good as any right?
- These have the same size (5.25 in) and should just take the place of the stock speakers right?
Here's where I start to get confused. I was told that these for my "Kick Panel", but Crutchfield says I need to buy a $200 Kick Panel enclosure??? Is the kick panel important enough that i need to spend 3.5x the amount I would on the speakers just to use them?
Also, someone mentioned something about "rear speakers" (im guessing that means behind the seat?) and told me to disconnect them because I wouldn't need them if I had a sub-woofer. Crutchfield says that these are the only ones that fit my ranger anyways. should I bother with them, or just use a sub?
Lastly, a sub. I was pretty confused by the advice I was given, and am not sure if I need an amp AND sub, or a combo, or a truck box? I apologize, i'm quite confused. Anyways, here it goes.
Would I need all three of these things to have a "sub" in the back?
Does the "enclosure" include the actual speaker? Do I just stick this behind the seat? Will there be enough room?
Thanks Guys!
