Help translate a theme for me
Hi r/latin,
I hope you can help me with translating an idea or theme into a snappy, memorable online handle (think personal site and/or online identity, possibly company name).
The "setting": A young seedling sprouting from the ground of a lush spring forest, having grown it's first two leaves.
I dug around in wiktionary for a bit, but I'm at a loss when it comes to putting words together in their proper forms, conjugations and whatnot. I'm an intuitive speaker, so grammar lessons of any language never stuck with me...
(And never learned latin, to boot)
#####Here's the words and meanings I'd like to stick together somehow:
folium (plural foliums or folia)
- A leaf, especially a thin leaf or plate.
- (geometry) A curve of the third order, consisting of two infinite branches having a common asymptote. The curve has a double point, and a leaf-shaped loop.
- green
- young, fresh, lively, youthful
alternatively:
From the verb vireo (“to be verdant, to sprout”).
- I am verdant, green; I sprout new green growth.
- I flourish; I am lively, vigorous.
possibly:
- That can be easily moved, easily movable; light.
- That moves easily or quickly; nimble, agile, quick, rapid
- Active, busy, prompt.
(most relevant connotations highlighted in bold)
I guess by now you know where I'm going with the general theme, so ideally I'd hope to include most of it so it's not lost translation, so to speak (heh).
To start with, I'm not even sure which plural to pick here, since I'll ideally want to refer to the two leaves on the above mentioned sprout. At this point I'm preferring folia, but no idea if that's even appropriate in this case or ends up actually meaning "foliage" in the end...
When it comes to adjectives, I'm completly lost, and don't want to end up using the wrong conjugation or gender.
Since virero seems to just be a verb, I'm not even sure where to put it and if it's even applicable in this context. I prefer the connotation to the 2. of viridis, but in the end the resulting statement should primarily be easy to grasp and not end up being a mouthful to say or remember.
Sames goes for agilis, it'd be nice if it could be worked in there somehow, but not at the cost of clarity.
So, I hope to end up with something that describes the setting in some way, and highlights the overall tone of innovation, proactiveness and optimistic growth.
folia virida? viretis folia agiles? Apologies for the butchering and any shudders these might have cause you, dear reader :'D
Alternatively, I'm open to some mashups and pseudo-words, if it helps with bringing the theme together (something like agifolia viridis... if that's even allowed to be a thing)
