Got punched in the face. Kid broke his hand and is now on disability for work. Want to sue

Throwaway for obvious reasons. I recently got into an altercation with someone I know and it escalated violently. There are 2 witnesses. This is what happened:

We were all drunk. He was telling me to shut the fuck up and being very rude. I pushed him, I start walking, and he punches me from the side and knocks me down. Yes I know I was in the wrong for pushing him obviously. But he did cause damage to my face, I have pictures, and the fact that he is now on disability from work furthers the evidence.

What sort of legal recourse do I have? Thank you.
