A few questions on registering.

I am doing my rounds getting close friends and family registered and my dad has a co-worker in this situation. We hope someone can clear it up.

It seems like he is registered as an American Independent. He got, presumably, a Republican sample ballot since he says only the Republican candidates are on the there. He wants to know if he can still vote in the Democratic race.

I looked on the website, but the wording is a bit confusing, and it says the following:

For the June 7, 2016 Presidential Primary Election, the American Independent*, Democratic and Libertarian parties have allowed “crossover” voting

Does this mean an American Independent can vote in the Democratic race without having a special crossover ballot?

Lastly, do we have a registering cheat sheet on here? I do not see one in the side bar. It will help me by printing it out and carrying around with me.
