Has anyone else felt significantly better by moving to a different climate? I live in the cold, dark, rainy Northeast.
I was just on vacation in a sunny place, and I felt "normal" - dare I say, happy even - the entire time. Back home just a week before, I was severely depressed and had been for over a year. Obviously, most people are happier on vacation when they're not working (and my job is particularly horrible), but I couldn't help but wonder if the climate also had something major to do with how much better I felt.
I have had my Vitamin D levels checked and they are on the low end of normal. I supplement with Vitamin D every day. Still, back home I am severely depressed on a daily basis.
Has anyone here moved or known someone who moved and experienced a significant improvement in depression symptoms as a result of that?
