TIFU By going to a lecture

This happened a while ago but i got reddit recently and just discovered this sub reddit.

So its near some important exams i have to do and these are really important so im getting as much revision done as possible, and my friend tells me that theres a lecture on and im like ''hey this will be really helpful !'' But wait its starts in 20 minutes. And its more then half an hour away from where im staying. So i rush outside and leave my phone ( an iphone 6 !! ) literally on display next to a window next to a main road... I jump in my car get there about 5 minutes late but then realize that the lecture was cancelled. Im so angry that i cant think straight i get in my car and get ready for the journey back. When i get home i then notice that my window is broken and my iphone 6 is gone and a few other things like my laptop. Thank god for insurance.

Lesson ? Dont leave your phone lying around in plain sight.
