[EVENT]New York, Atlanta, Denver, Dallas–Fort Worth start large PR campaign
(Forbes) --- New York, Atlanta, Denver and Dallas–Fort Worth have bonded together in a federal backed program to rejuvenate *financial) business, tourism and the general public image after recovering from the hardships of the H1N1/22 crisis.
City officials rolled out a new campaign on Wednesday morning that is designed to promote the image of their respective cities.
Atlanta Mayor Tony Fluyt said the city hopes to attract more businesses to open in The ATL.
“We have a new innovative, progressive hardworking culture here,” he said. “We’re entrepreneurs and we want to highlight that.”
Atlanta suffered greatly during the flu pandemic, losing almost 50% of it inhabitants and it's gross domestic product by $100 billion. Large corporations such as Coca Cola, Home Depot and Delta Air Lines suffered during the dark days, significantly hurting the cities economy.
The same goes for other hard-hit cites of America. New York, Denver and Dallas–Fort Worth all have similar stories, having shrunk in size and economy. But they're itching to get back in the spotlight now that new opportunities are arising.
With the manufacturing industry in Europe suffering from economic collapse, cities like Denver and Dallas–Fort Worth hope to attract new businesses.
New York, losing some of it's most famous neighborhoods and landmarks to fire and vandalism, hopes to present itself as good as new, with large (infrastructure) projects having restored the city to it's former glory. Moreover, the cities financial sector is also in need of a new impuls.
The city hopes to re-attract banking and finance, retailing, world trade, transportation, tourism, real estate, new media as well as traditional media, advertising, legal services, accountancy, insurance, theater, fashion, and the arts , sectors wherein the city flourished pre-2022.
