Should I forgive my friend?

Relationships

I was always there for this friend. I went out of my way to make myself available to her when she was having a rough time.

I learned however this didn't go both ways. I struggle w anxiety and depression and when I needed said friend, she blew me off. She also broke a promise she had with me. The promise involved her agreeing to go out and have a girls night w me in the next month, after I did a favour for her. The promise was her idea. And she blew it off like it wasn't anything. She didn't even think she'd done anything wrong. I texted her in a non-confrontational way and brought up my issue which she never even responded to. So I stopped texting her.

She didn't even notice for a month, when I didn't respond to a text she sent me. She then started berating me w texts varying from half assed apologies to calling me immature for not responding.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk to her, but my anxiety and depression made it so ignoring her was easier than responding. I ended up responding once and saying I wasn't sure why she was upset w me and that my intention wasn't to be a jerk; I made clear I just couldn't deal w the confrontation.

My depression and anxiety have cost me friendships before, I have never had a ton of friends because of it. I just don't know if I should respond to her and try keeping the friendship, despite the problems. Or if I should just leave it and lose another friend, because they weren't the friend I needed. I just don't trust my own mind and want to know what others think, and how others deal w friendship issues in their depression/anxiety.
